SLOPE VIEW OF HOUSE

The large acre lot was bare dirt from years of neglect. The new owners requested to match their new outdoor environment to their camping family lifestyle, reminiscent of a Sierra backpacking trip. A Boulder Creek stream was added through the backyard from house to the outdoor firepit view spot at the top of the slope. A dry creek swale continued down the slope to catch the stormwater runoff. Oak trees and Native plants were added to hold down the top of the slope as wildflower seeds were spread for spring bloom. A circular DG pathway with railroad tie steps led down the slope, to the quiet spot bench for late afternoon guitar playing while watching the view over the hills.
