What began as a simple lawn replacement project, became an environmental ecosystem setting to connect humans to wildlife and nature's surroundings. Nellie Gail Ranch, filled with open space trails for horseback riding and plenty of wildlife habitat, the owners requested to increase the natural surroundings and wildlife experience to the front yard. Mature California Sycamore trees were brought in, to be surrounded by native grasses and a dry creek bed running through the center of the hillside property landscape. A California meadow was planted with native salvias, regional blooms and seeded with native wildflower mix to add seasonal interest for Spring. The finishing touch was the solar birdbath to attract native birds in the neighborhood.
